Your support and involvement are critical to our mission of providing comprehensive support and resources to veterans in need, raising awareness and support for veteran causes, and empowering veterans to become leaders in their communities.

There are many ways you can get involved and make a difference:

Volunteer - We rely on volunteers to help us provide critical services and support to veterans in need. We are always looking for swimming coaches, boat captains, lifeguards, and other supporters. Please visit our volunteer page to learn more about our volunteer opportunities.

Donate - Your donation will go directly toward providing vital resources and support to veterans in need. We accept donations of any amount, and every contribution makes a difference. Please visit our donation page to make a donation today.

Keller Cove Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline

Meet at Keller Cove Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline, coached practice with Shannon. Bring cap, goggles, swimming ear plugs, snacks, water, snacks, wetsuit recommended.This is scheduled as a weekly practice subject to change by Shannon.C heck in on arrival with Shannon.Participate At Your Own Risk. Open water swimming is challenging, physically demanding and the water can be cold. There is no representation or guarantee of safety. Be careful!

This is the provisional date for TTR X, (Take The Rock # Ten) subject to adjustment. We presently have funding for a total of twenty swimmers and are over-subscribed. Prospective Rock Stars must satisfactorily complete requirements of our vendor, Waterworld Swim. Priority will be given to first-time swimmers who participate and complete our open water training program. We are not accepting additional participants for this training program. Participation is at the personal risk of participants. Volunteers and organizers accept ZERO responsibility and/or liability for anything relating to this program.

Basic Safety Precautions and Limits for COVID19 as per city/county guidelines. RSVP’s on Meetup are required for all swims. Drop-ins will not be allowed so we can reduce the check-in process. Please respect all participants in our open water swim program and serve as a role model so that our nonprofit can continue to operate. If you wish to bring family members, I highly encourage this!
Coached Practice:
09:00: Meet at the bleachers. Wear swimsuit under clothing.
09:15: Group check in. Put on wetsuits and swim gear, receive swim instructions
09:20: SWIM!
Bring:
- Extra towel to wear after the swim
- Jug of warm water to drink and wash feet
- Warm up clothes for after
- Wetsuit, Goggles, Ear plugs. A colored swim cap and swim buoy will be issued to you at no cost. Bring to every practice and to the Alcatraz swim.
- Leave valuables safely locked up in your car AND out of sight. Don’t bring anything you can’t live without.
